Thanks for the deep set of reference links. Too often bloggers don't share the wealth with others. Well done.

Interesting observations and comments. Social media is evolving at light speed, compliance requirements ARE important -- sometimes we need to be protected from ourselves!

I find that I use Twitter more for learning and sharing information quickly -- along the "breaking news" line. I have very few that I have send alerts to my BlackBerry -- that's reserved for really important stuff. I will chose to follow someone if I find their information pertinent and useful. I am learning SOOOOOO much. I usually check out someone's website when its posted on twitter. I know that I need to clean up my follows and I regularly purge the followers.

The IDEAS that come from seeing what others are doing is just fantastic. I've been signing up for webinars -- best part of that for me is that if I miss the session because of an appointment or a client conversation, I can get the replay, which is sometimes better to get more of the detail of what the presenters are suggesting (hit pause, do what they say, hit play, etc)

I'm finding that in LinkedIn, more personal relationships develop -- this is where I feel that I'm marketing. I build a presence. Focusing on our local area, I've increased my LinkedIn contacts from 25 to 270 in about 3 weeks. LinkedIn and Twitter are "cross feeding". I LOVE that I can save the v-card in LinkedIn directly to my outlook!! And then add the add the contact to my email blast lists, depending on the category of the contact I intend.

I have a MySpace page -- only for family (keeping an eye on my neice and nephew). Facebook is for the real friends and personal side, and I've only just begun there.

... figuring out what works for me!
Ciao for now,
Wendy
